Therse groups are for anyone who finds small groups an easier way to get to know each other and explore the Christian faith. Don't forget to visit the Specials page. There are new future events... Sunday Evening Bible Study: Our Sunday Evening Service is an informal service wrapped around a Bible Study. (See Specials page for Details) St James is a Christian Family which aims to live by Holy Scripture and be inclusive to all ages, nationalities and backgrounds. Since 1829 St James has been at the heart of Bermondsey. We are both an historic London Church and a dynamic Christian fellowship. John Betjeman called St James 'One of the finest of the Waterloo churches.
We are an open evangelical church which means our beliefs and practices are firmly based on and in the Bible. We want to engage with the issues of our day bringing a biblical perspective to them. We also support each other and the people of Bermondsey. Children are especially welcome and we run Sunday activities for them either as part of a Family Service or activities during sunday Worship. We have regular Bible studies, run ALPHA courses and much much more...
